1
And
it
came
to
pass,
that
when
Isaac
was
old,
and
his
eyes
were
dim,
so
that
he
could
not
see,
he
called
Esau
his
eldest
son,
and
said
unto
him,
My
son:
and
he
said
unto
him,
Behold,
here
am
I.
2
And
he
said,
Behold
now,
I
am
old,
I
know
not
the
day
of
my
death:
3
Now
therefore
take,
I
pray
thee,
thy
weapons,
thy
quiver
and
thy
bow,
and
go
out
to
the
field,
and
take
me
some
venison;
4
And
make
me
savoury
meat,
such
as
I
love,
and
bring
it
to
me,
that
I
may
eat;
that
my
soul
may
bless
thee
before
I
die.
5
And
Rebekah
heard
when
Isaac
spake
to
Esau
his
son.
And
Esau
went
to
the
field
to
hunt
for
venison,
and
to
bring
it.
6
And
Rebekah
spake
unto
Jacob
her
son,
saying,
Behold,
I
heard
thy
father
speak
unto
Esau
thy
brother,
saying,
7
Bring
me
venison,
and
make
me
savoury
meat,
that
I
may
eat,
and
bless
thee
before
the
LORD
before
my
death.
8
Now
therefore,
my
son,
obey
my
voice
according
to
that
which
I
command
thee.
9
Go
now
to
the
flock,
and
fetch
me
from
thence
two
good
kids
of
the

and
I
will
make
them
savoury
meat
for
thy
father,
such
as
he
loveth:
10
And
thou
shalt
bring
it
to
thy
father,
that
he
may
eat,
and
that
he
may
bless
thee
before
his
death.
11
And
Jacob
said
to
Rebekah
his
mother,
Behold,
Esau
my
brother
is
a
hairy
man,
and
I
am
a
smooth
man:
12
My
father
peradventure
will
feel
me,
and
I
shall
seem
to
him
as
a
deceiver;
and
I
shall
bring
a
curse
upon
me,
and
not
a
blessing.
13
And
his
mother
said
unto
him,
Upon
me
be
thy
curse,
my
son:
only
obey
my
voice,
and
go
fetch
me
them.
14
And
he
went,
and
fetched,
and
brought
them
to
his
mother:
and
his
mother
made
savoury
meat,
such
as
his
father
loved.
15
And
Rebekah
took
goodly
raiment
of
her
eldest
son
Esau,
which
were
with
her
in
the
house,
and
put
them
upon
Jacob
her
younger
son:
16
And
she
put
the
skins
of
the
kids
of
the
goats
upon
his
hands,
and
upon
the
smooth
of
his
neck:
17
And
she
gave
the
savoury
meat
and
the
bread,
which
she
had
prepared,
into
the
hand
of
her
son
Jacob.
18
And
he
came
unto
his
father,
and
said,
My
father:
and
he
said,
Here
am
I;
who
art
thou,
my
son?
19
And
Jacob
said
unto
his
father,
I
am
Esau
thy
firstborn;
I
have
done
according
as
thou
badest
me:
arise,
I
pray
thee,
sit
and
eat
of
my
venison,
that
thy
soul
may
bless
me.
20
And
Isaac
said
unto
his
son,
How
is
it
that
thou
hast
found
it
so
quickly,
my
son?
And
he
said,
Because
the
LORD
thy
God
brought
it
to
me.
21
And
Isaac
said
unto
Jacob,
Come
near,
I
pray
thee,
that
I
may
feel
thee,
my
son,
whether
thou
be
my
very
son
Esau
or
not.
22
And
Jacob
went
near
unto
Isaac
his
father;
and
he
felt
him,
and
said,
The
voice
is
Jacob’s
voice,
but
the
hands
are
the
hands
of
Esau.
23
And
he
discerned
him
not,
because
his
hands
were
hairy,
as
his
brother
Esau’s
hands:
so
he
blessed
him.
24
And
he
said,
Art
thou
my
very
son
Esau?
And
he
said,
I
am.
25
And
he
said,
Bring
it
near
to
me,
and
I
will
eat
of
my
son’s
venison,
that
my
soul
may
bless
thee.
And
he
brought
it
near
to
him,
and
he
did
eat:
and
he
brought
him
wine,
and
he
drank.
26
And
his
father
Isaac
said
unto
him,
Come
near
now,
and
kiss
me,
my
son.
27
And
he
came
near,
and
kissed
him:
and
he
smelled
the
smell
of
his
raiment,
and
blessed
him,
and
said,
See,
the
smell
of
my
son
is
as
the
smell
of
a
field
which
the
LORD
hath
blessed:
28
Therefore
God
give
thee
of
the
dew
of
heaven,
and
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
plenty
of
corn
and
wine:
29
Let
people
serve
thee,
and
nations
bow
down
to
thee:
be
lord
over
thy
brethren,
and
let
thy
mother’s
sons
bow
down
to
thee:
cursed
be
every
one
that
curseth
thee,
and
blessed
be
he
that
blesseth
thee.
30
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
soon
as
Isaac
had
made
an
end
of
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
was
yet
scarce
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
And
he
also
had
made
savoury
meat,
and
brought
it
unto
his
father,
and
said
unto
his
father,
Let
my
father
arise,
and
eat
of
his
son’s
venison,
that
thy
soul
may
bless
me.
32
And
Isaac
his
father
said
unto
him,
Who
art
thou?
And
he
said,
I
am
thy
son,
thy
firstborn
Esau.
33
And
Isaac
trembled
very
exceedingly,
and
said,
Who?
where
is
he
that
hath
taken
venison,
and
brought
it
me,
and
I
have
eaten
of
all
before
thou
camest,
and
have
blessed
him?
yea,
and
he
shall
be
blessed.
34
And
when
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father,
he
cried
with
a
great
and
exceeding
bitter
cry,
and
said
unto
his
father,
Bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
35
And
he
said,
Thy
brother
came
with
subtilty,
and
hath
taken
away
thy
blessing.
36
And
he
said,
Is
not
he
rightly
named
Jacob?
for
he
hath
supplanted
me
these
two
times:
he
took
away
my
birthright;
and,
behold,
now
he
hath
taken
away
my
blessing.
And
he
said,
Hast
thou
not
reserved
a
blessing
for
me?
37
And
Isaac
answered
and
said
unto
Esau,
Behold,
I
have
made
him
thy
lord,
and
all
his
brethren
have
I
given
to
him
for
servants;
and
with
corn
and
wine
have
I
sustained
him:
and
what
shall
I
do
now
unto
thee,
my
son?
38
And
Esau
said
unto
his
father,
Hast
thou
but
one
blessing,
my
father?
bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
And
Esau
lifted
up
his
voice,
and
wept.
39
And
Isaac
his
father
answered
and
said
unto
him,
Behold,
thy
dwelling
shall
be
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
of
the
dew
of
heaven
from
above;
40
And
by
thy
sword
shalt
thou
live,
and
shalt
serve
thy
brother;
and
it
shall
come
to
pass
when
thou
shalt
have
the
dominion,
that
thou
shalt
break
his
yoke
from
off
thy
neck.
41
And
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
wherewith
his
father
blessed
him:
and
Esau
said
in
his
heart,
The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
at
hand;
then
will
I
slay
my
brother
Jacob.
42
And
these
words
of
Esau
her
elder
son
were
told
to
Rebekah:
and
she
sent
and
called
Jacob
her
younger
son,
and
said
unto
him,
Behold,
thy
brother
Esau,
as
touching
thee,
doth
comfort
himself,
purposing
to
kill
thee.
43
Now
therefore,
my
son,
obey
my
voice;
and
arise,
flee
thou
to
Laban
my
brother
to
Haran;
44
And
tarry
with
him
a
few
days,
until
thy
brother’s
fury
turn
away;
45
Until
thy
brother’s
anger
turn
away
from
thee,
and
he
forget
that
which
thou
hast
done
to
him:
then
I
will
send,
and
fetch
thee
from
thence:
why
should
I
be
deprived
also
of
you
both
in
one
day?
46
And
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
I
am
weary
of
my
life
because
of
the
daughters
of
Heth:
if
Jacob
take
a
wife
of
the
daughters
of
Heth,
such
as
these
which
are
of
the
daughters
of
the
land,
what
good
shall
my
life
do
me?

he
hath
not
discerned
him,
for
his
hands
have
been
hairy,
as
the
hands
of
Esau
his
brother,
and
he
blesseth
him,
24
and
saith,
`Thou
art
he
--
my
son
Esau?`
and
he
saith,
`I
am
.`
25
And
he
saith,
`Bring
nigh
to
me,
and
I
do
eat
of
my
son's
provision,
so
that
my
soul
doth
bless
thee;`
and
he
bringeth
nigh
to
him,
and
he
eateth;
and
he
bringeth
to
him
wine,
and
he
drinketh.
26
And
Isaac
his
father
saith
to
him,
`Come
nigh,
I
pray
thee,
and
kiss
me,
my
son;`
27
and
he
cometh
nigh,
and
kisseth
him,
and
he
smelleth
the
fragrance
of
his
garments,
and
blesseth
him,
and
saith,
`See,
the
fragrance
of
my
son
is
as
the
fragrance
of
a
field
which
Jehovah
hath
blessed;
28
and
God
doth
give
to
thee
of
the
dew
of
heaven,
and
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
abundance
of
corn
and
wine;
29
peoples
serve
thee,
and
nations
bow
themselves
to
thee,
be
thou
mighty
over
thy
brethren,
and
the
sons
of
thy
mother
bow
themselves
to
thee;
those
who
curse
thee
are
cursed,
and
those
who
bless
thee
are
blessed.`
30
And
it
cometh
to
pass,
as
Isaac
hath
finished
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
is
only
just
going
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
hath
come
in
from
his
hunting;
31
and
he
also
maketh
tasteful
things,
and
bringeth
to
his
father,
and
saith
to
his
father,
`Let
my
father
arise,
and
eat
of
his
son's
provision,
so
that
thy
soul
doth
bless
me.`
32
And
Isaac
his
father
saith
to
him,
`Who
art
thou?`
and
he
saith,
`I
am
thy
son,
thy
first-born,
Esau;`
33
and
Isaac
trembleth
a
very
great
trembling,
and
saith,
`Who,
now,
is
he
who
hath
provided
provision,
and
bringeth
in
to
me,
and
I
eat
of
all
before
thou
comest
in,
and
I
bless
him?
--
yea,
blessed
is
he.`
34
When
Esau
heareth
the
words
of
his
father,
then
he
crieth
a
very
great
and
bitter
cry,
and
saith
to
his
father,
`Bless
me,
me
also,
O
my
father;`
35
and
he
saith,
`Thy
brother
hath
come
with
subtilty,
and
taketh
thy
blessing.`
36
And
he
saith,
`Is
it
because
one
called
his
name
Jacob
that
he
doth
take
me
by
the
heel
these
two
times?
my
birthright
he
hath
taken;
and
lo,
now,
he
hath
taken
my
blessing;`
he
saith
also,
`Hast
thou
not
kept
back
a
blessing
for
me?`
37
And
Isaac
answereth
and
saith
to
Esau,
`Lo,
a
mighty
one
have
I
set
him
over
thee,
and
all
his
brethren
have
I
given
to
him
for
servants,
and
with
corn
and
wine
have
I
sustained
him;
and
for
thee
now,
what
shall
I
do,
my
son?`
38
And
Esau
saith
unto
his
father,
`One
blessing
hast
thou
my
father?
bless
me,
me
also,
O
my
father;`
and
Esau
lifteth
up
his
voice,
and
weepeth.
39
And
Isaac
his
father
answereth
and
saith
unto
him,
`Lo,
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth
is
thy
dwelling,
and
of
the
dew
of
the
heavens
from
above;
40
and
by
thy
sword
dost
thou
live,
and
thy
brother
dost
thou
serve;
and
it
hath
come
to
pass
when
thou
rulest,
that
thou
hast
broken
his
yoke
from
off
thy
neck.`
41
And
Esau
hateth
Jacob,
because
of
the
blessing
with
which
his
father
blessed
him,
and
Esau
saith
in
his
heart,
`The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
draw
near,
and
I
slay
Jacob
my
brother.`
42
And
the
words
of
Esau
her
elder
son
are
declared
to
Rebekah,
and
she
sendeth
and
calleth
for
Jacob
her
younger
son,
and
saith
unto
him,
`Lo,
Esau
thy
brother
is
comforting
himself
in
regard
to
thee
--
to
slay
thee;
43
and
now,
my
son,
hearken
to
my
voice,
and
rise,
flee
for
thyself
unto
Laban
my
brother,
to
Haran,
44
and
thou
hast
dwelt
with
him
some
days,
till
thy
brother's
fury
turn
back,
45
till
thy
brother's
anger
turn
back
from
thee,
and
he
hath
forgotten
that
which
thou
hast
done
to
him,
and
I
have
sent
and
taken
thee
from
thence;
why
am
I
bereaved
even
of
you
both
the
same
day?`
46
And
Rebekah
saith
unto
Isaac,
`I
have
been
disgusted
with
my
life
because
of
the
presence
of
the
daughters
of
Heth;
if
Jacob
take
a
wife
of
the
daughters
of
Heth,
like
these
--
from
the
daughters
of
the
land
--
why
do
I
live?`

And
Isaac
said
unto
his

How

my

he
said,

Art

he

I

unto
him,
Come

me,
my

27
And
he
came
near,
and
kissed
him.
And
he
smelled
the
smell
of
his
raiment,
and
blessed
him,
and
said,
See,
the
smell
of
my
son
Is
as
the
smell
of
a
field
which
Jehovah
hath
blessed.
28
And
God
give
thee
of
the
dew
of
heaven,
And
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
And
plenty
of
grain
and
new
wine.
29
Let

And
nations
bow
down

thee.
Be
lord
over
thy

And
let
thy
mothers
sons
bow
down
to
thee.
Cursed
be
every
one
that
curseth
thee,
And
blessed
be
every
one
that
blesseth
thee.
30
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
soon
as
Isaac
had
made
an
end
of
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
was
yet
scarce
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
And
he
also
made
savory
food,
and
brought
it
unto
his
father.
And
he
said
unto
his
father,
Let
my
father
arise,
and
eat
of
his
sons
venison,
that
thy
soul
may
bless
me.
32
And
Isaac
his
father
said
unto
him,
Who
art
thou?
And
he
said,
I
am
thy
son,
thy
first-born,
Esau.
33
And
Isaac
trembled
very
exceedingly,
and
said,
Who
then
is
he
that
hath
taken
venison,
and
brought
it
me,
and
I
have
eaten
of
all
before
thou
camest,
and
have
blessed
him?
Yea,
and
he
shall
be
blessed.
34
When
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father,
he
cried
with
an
exceeding
great
and
bitter
cry,
and
said
unto
his
father,
Bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
35
And
he
said,
Thy
brother
came
with
guile,
and
hath
taken
away
thy
blessing.
36
And
he
said,
Is
not
he
rightly
name
Jacob?
for
he
hath
supplanted
me
these
two
time.
He
took
away
my
birthright.
And,
behold,
now
he
hath
taken
away
my
blessing.
And
he
said,
Hast
thou
not
reserved
a
blessing
for
me?
37
And
Isaac
answered
and
said
unto
Esau,
Behold,
I
have
made
him
thy
lord,
and
all
his
brethren
have
I
given
to
him
for
servants.
And
with
grain
and
new
wine
have
I
sustained
him.
And
what
then
shall
I
do
for
thee,
my
son?
38
And
Esau
said
unto
his
father,
Hast
thou
but
one
blessing,
my
father?
Bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
And
Esau
lifted
up
his
voice,
and
wept.
39
And
Isaac
his
father
answered
and
said
unto
him,
Behold,
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth
shall
be
thy
dwelling,
And
of
the
dew
of
heaven
from
above.
40
And
by
thy
sword
shalt
thou
live,
and
thou
shalt
serve
thy
brother.
And
it
shall
come
to
pass,
when
thou
shalt
break
loose,
That
thou
shalt
shake
his
yoke
from
off
thy
neck.
41
And
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
wherewith
his
father
blessed
him.
And
Esau
said
in
his
heart,
The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
at
hand.
Then
will
I
slay
my
brother
Jacob.
42
And
the
words
of
Esau
her
elder
son
were
told
to
Rebekah.
And

Jacob
her

himself,
purposing

thee.

and
I
would
bring
a
curse
on
myself,
and
not
a
blessing."
13
His
mother
said
to
him,
"Let
your
curse
be
on
me,
my
son.
Only
obey
my
voice,
and
go
get
them
for
me."
14
He
went,
and
got
them,
and
brought
them
to
his
mother.
His
mother
made
savory
food,
such
as
his
father
loved.
15
Rebekah
took
the
good
clothes
of
Esau,
her
elder
son,
which
were
with
her
in
the
house,
and
put
them
on
Jacob,
her
younger
son.
16
She
put
the
skins
of
the
kids
of
the
goats
on
his
hands,
and
on
the
smooth
of
his
neck.
17
She
gave
the
savory
food
and
the
bread,
which
she
had
prepared,
into
the
hand
of
her
son
Jacob.
18
He
came
to
his
father,
and
said,
"My
father?"
He
said,
"Here
I
am.
Who
are
you,
my
son?"
19
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
"I
am
Esau
your
firstborn.
I
have
done
what
you
asked
me
to
do.
Please
arise,
sit
and
eat
of
my
venison,
that
your
soul
may
bless
me."
20
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
"How
is
it
that
you
have
found
it
so
quickly,
my
son?"
He
said,
"Because
Yahweh
your
God
gave
me
success."
21
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Please
come
near,
that
I
may
feel
you,
my
son,
whether
you
are
really
my
son
Esau
or
not."
22
Jacob
went
near
to
Isaac
his
father.
He
felt
him,
and
said,
"The
voice
is
Jacob's
voice,
but
the
hands
are
the
hands
of
Esau."
23
He
didn't
recognize
him,
because
his
hands
were
hairy,
like
his
brother,
Esau's
hands.
So
he
blessed
him.
24
He
said,
"Are
you
really
my
son
Esau?"
He
said,
"I
am."
25
He
said,
"Bring
it
near
to
me,
and
I
will
eat
of
my
son's
venison,
that
my
soul
may
bless
you."
He
brought
it
near
to
him,
and
he
ate.
He
brought
him
wine,
and
he
drank.
26
His
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Come
near
now,
and
kiss
me,
my
son."
27
He
came
near,
and
kissed
him.
He
smelled
the
smell
of
his
clothing,
and
blessed
him,
and
said,
"Behold,
the
smell
of
my
son
Is
as
the
smell
of
a
field
which
Yahweh
has
blessed.
28
God
give
you
of
the
dew
of
the
sky,
Of
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
And
plenty
of
grain
and
new
wine.
29
Let
peoples
serve
you,
Nations
bow
down
to
you.
Be
lord
over
your
brothers,
Let
your
mother's
sons
bow
down
to
you.
Cursed
be
everyone
who
curses
you,
Blessed
be
everyone
who
blesses
you."
30
It
happened,
as
soon
as
Isaac
had
made
an
end
of
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
had
just
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
He
also
made
savory
food,
and
brought
it
to
his
father.
He
said
to
his
father,
"Let
my
father
arise,
and
eat
of
his
son's
venison,
that
your
soul
may
bless
me."
32
Isaac
his
father
said
to
him,
"Who
are
you?"
He
said,
"I
am
your
son,
your
firstborn,
Esau."
33
Isaac
trembled
violently,
and
said,
"Who,
then,
is
he
who
has
taken
venison,
and
brought
it
me,
and
I
have
eaten
of
all
before
you
came,
and
have
blessed
him?
Yes,
he
will
be
blessed."
34
When
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father,
he
cried
with
an
exceeding
great
and
bitter
cry,
and
said
to
his
father,
"Bless
me,
even
me
also,
my
father."
35
He
said,
"Your
brother
came
with
deceit,
and
has
taken
away
your
blessing."
36
He
said,
"Isn't
he
rightly
named
Jacob?
For
he
has
supplanted
me
these
two
times.
He
took
away
my
birthright.
See,
now
he
has
taken
away
my
blessing."
He
said,
"Haven't
you
reserved
a
blessing
for
me?"
37
Isaac
answered
Esau,
"Behold,
I
have
made
him
your
lord,
and
all
his
brothers
have
I
given
to
him
for
servants.
With
grain
and
new
wine
have
I
sustained
him.
What
then
will
I
do
for
you,
my
son?"
38
Esau
said
to
his
father,
"Have
you
but
one
blessing,
my
father?
Bless
me,
even
me
also,
my
father."
Esau
lifted
up
his
voice,
and
wept.
39
Isaac
his
father
answered
him,
"Behold,
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth
will
be
your
dwelling,
And
of
the
dew
of
the
sky
from
above.
40
By
your
sword
will
you
live,
and
you
will
serve
your
brother.
It
will
happen,
when
you
will
break
loose,
That
you
shall
shake
his
yoke
from
off
your
neck."
41
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
with
which
his
father
blessed
him.
Esau
said
in
his
heart,
"The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
at
hand.
Then
I
will
kill
my
brother
Jacob."
42
The
words
of
Esau,
her
elder
son,
were
told
to
Rebekah.
She
sent
and
called
Jacob
her
younger
son,
and
said
to
him,
"Behold,
your
brother
Esau
comforts
himself
about
you
by
planning
to
kill
you.
43
Now
therefore,
my
son,
obey
my
voice.
Arise,
flee
to
Laban,
my
brother,
in
Haran.
44
Stay
with
him
a
few
days,
until
your
brother's
fury
turns
away;
45
until
your
brother's
anger
turn
away
from
you,
and
he
forgets
what
you
have
done
to
him.
Then
I
will
send,
and
get
you
from
there.
Why
should
I
be
bereaved
of
you
both
in
one
day?"
46
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"I
am
weary
of
my
life
because
of
the
daughters
of
Heth.
If
Jacob
takes
a
wife
of
the
daughters
of
Heth,
such
as
these,
of
the
daughters
of
the
land,
what
good
will
my
life
do
me?"

faith,
Isaac
blessed
Jacob
and
Esau,
even
concerning
things
to

your
quiver
and
your
bow,
and
go
out
to
the
field,
and
take
me
some
venison;
4
And
make
me
savoury
meat,
such
as
I
love,
and
bring
it
to
me,
that
I
may
eat;
that
my
soul
may
bless
you
before
I
die.
5
And
Rebekah
heard
when
Isaac
spoke
to
Esau
his
son.
And
Esau
went
to
the
field
to
hunt
for
venison,
and
to
bring
it.
6
And
Rebekah
spoke
to
Jacob
her
son,
saying,
Behold,
I
heard
your
father
speak
to
Esau
your
brother,
saying,
7
Bring
me
venison,
and
make
me
savoury
meat,
that
I
may
eat,
and
bless
you
before
the
LORD
before
my
death.
8
Now
therefore,
my
son,
obey
my
voice
according
to
that
which
I
command
you.
9
Go
now
to
the
flock,
and
fetch
me
from
there
two
good
kids
of
the
goats;
and
I
will
make
them
savoury
meat
for
your
father,
such
as
he
loves:
10
And
you
shall
bring
it
to
your
father,
that
he
may
eat,
and
that
he
may
bless
you
before
his
death.
11
And
Jacob
said
to
Rebekah
his
mother,
Behold,
Esau
my
brother
is
a
hairy
man,
and
I
am
a
smooth
man:
12
My
father
peradventure
will
feel
me,
and
I
shall
seem
to
him
as
a
deceiver;
and
I
shall
bring
a
curse
on
me,
and
not
a
blessing.
13
And
his
mother
said
to
him,
On
me
be
your
curse,
my
son:
only
obey
my
voice,
and
go
fetch
me
them.
14
And
he
went,
and
fetched,
and
brought
them
to
his
mother:
and
his
mother
made
savoury
meat,
such
as
his
father
loved.
15
And
Rebekah
took
goodly
raiment
of
her
oldest
son
Esau,
which
were
with
her
in
the
house,
and
put
them
on
Jacob
her
younger
son:
16
And
she
put
the
skins
of
the
kids
of
the
goats
on
his
hands,
and
on
the
smooth
of
his
neck:
17
And
she
gave
the
savoury
meat
and
the
bread,
which
she
had
prepared,
into
the
hand
of
her
son
Jacob.
18
And
he
came
to
his
father,
and
said,
My
father:
and
he
said,
Here
am
I;
who
are
you,
my
son?
19
And
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
I
am
Esau
your
first
born;
I
have
done
according
as
you
bade
me:
arise,
I
pray
you,
sit
and
eat
of
my
venison,
that
your
soul
may
bless
me.
20
And
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
How
is
it
that
you
have
found
it
so
quickly,
my
son?
And
he
said,
Because
the
LORD
your
God
brought
it
to
me.
21
And
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
Come
near,
I
pray
you,
that
I
may
feel
you,
my
son,
whether
you
be
my
very
son
Esau
or
not.
22
And
Jacob
went
near
to
Isaac
his
father;
and
he
felt
him,
and
said,
The
voice
is
Jacob's
voice,
but
the
hands
are
the
hands
of
Esau.
23
And
he
discerned
him
not,
because
his
hands
were
hairy,
as
his
brother
Esau's
hands:
so
he
blessed
him.
24
And
he
said,
Are
you
my
very
son
Esau?
And
he
said,
I
am.
25
And
he
said,
Bring
it
near
to
me,
and
I
will
eat
of
my
son's
venison,
that
my
soul
may
bless
you.
And
he
brought
it
near
to
him,
and
he
did
eat:
and
he
brought
him
wine
and
he
drank.
26
And
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
Come
near
now,
and
kiss
me,
my
son.
27
And
he
came
near,
and
kissed
him:
and
he
smelled
the
smell
of
his
raiment,
and
blessed
him,
and
said,
See,
the
smell
of
my
son
is
as
the
smell
of
a
field
which
the
LORD
has
blessed:
28
Therefore
God
give
you
of
the
dew
of
heaven,
and
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
plenty
of
corn
and
wine:
29
Let
people
serve
you,
and
nations
bow
down
to
you:
be
lord
over
your
brothers,
and
let
your
mother's
sons
bow
down
to
you:
cursed
be
every
one
that
curses
you,
and
blessed
be
he
that
blesses
you.
30
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
soon
as
Isaac
had
made
an
end
of
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
was
yet
scarce
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
And
he
also
had
made
savoury
meat,
and
brought
it
to
his
father,
and
said
to
his
father,
Let
my
father
arise,
and
eat
of
his
son's
venison,
that
your
soul
may
bless
me.
32
And
Isaac
his
father
said
to
him,
Who
are
you?
And
he
said,
I
am
your
son,
your
firstborn
Esau.
33
And
Isaac
trembled
very
exceedingly,
and
said,
Who?
where
is
he
that
has
taken
venison,
and
brought
it
me,
and
I
have
eaten
of
all
before
you
came,
and
have
blessed
him?
yes,
and
he
shall
be
blessed.
34
And
when
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father,
he
cried
with
a
great
and
exceeding
bitter
cry,
and
said
to
his
father,
Bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
35
And
he
said,
Your
brother
came
with
subtlety,
and
has
taken
away
your
blessing.
36
And
he
said,
Is
not
he
rightly
named
Jacob?
for
he
has
supplanted
me
these
two
times:
he
took
away
my
birthright;
and,
behold,
now
he
has
taken
away
my
blessing.
And
he
said,
Have
you
not
reserved
a
blessing
for
me?
37
And
Isaac
answered
and
said
to
Esau,
Behold,
I
have
made
him
your
lord,
and
all
his
brothers
have
I
given
to
him
for
servants;
and
with
corn
and
wine
have
I
sustained
him:
and
what
shall
I
do
now
to
you,
my
son?
38
And
Esau
said
to
his
father,
Have
you
but
one
blessing,
my
father?
bless
me,
even
me
also,
O
my
father.
And
Esau
lifted
up
his
voice,
and
wept.
39
And
Isaac
his
father
answered
and
said
to
him,
Behold,
your
dwelling
shall
be
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
of
the
dew
of
heaven
from
above;
40
And
by
your
sword
shall
you
live,
and
shall
serve
your
brother;
and
it
shall
come
to
pass
when
you
shall
have
the
dominion,
that
you
shall
break
his
yoke
from
off
your
neck.
41
And
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
with
which
his
father
blessed
him:
and
Esau
said
in
his
heart,
The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
at
hand;
then
will
I
slay
my
brother
Jacob.
42
And
these
words
of
Esau
her
elder
son
were
told
to
Rebekah:
and
she
sent
and
called
Jacob
her
younger
son,
and
said
to
him,
Behold,
your
brother
Esau,
as
touching
you,
does
comfort
himself,
purposing
to
kill
you.
43
Now
therefore,
my
son,
obey
my
voice;
arise,
flee
you
to
Laban
my
brother
to
Haran;
44
And
tarry
with
him
a
few
days,
until
your
brother's
fury
turn
away;
45
Until
your
brother's
anger
turn
away
from
you,
and
he
forget
that
which
you
have
done
to
him:
then
I
will
send,
and
fetch
you
from
there:
why
should
I
be
deprived
also
of
you
both
in
one
day?
46
And
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
I
am
weary
of
my
life
because
of
the
daughters
of
Heth:
if
Jacob
take
a
wife
of
the
daughters
of
Heth,
such
as
these
which
are
of
the
daughters
of
the
land,
what
good
shall
my
life
do
me?

1
When
Isaac
was
old
and
his
eyes
were
so
weak
that
he
was
almost
blind,
he
called
his
older
son
Esau
and
said
to
him,
"My
son!"
"Here
I
am!"
Esau
replied.
2
Isaac
said,
"Since
I
am
so
old,
I
could
die
at
any
time.
3
Therefore,
take
your
weapons—
your
quiver
and
your
bow—
and
go
out
into
the
open
fields
and
hunt
down
some
wild
game
for
me.
4
Then
prepare
for
me
some
tasty
food,
the
kind
I
love,
and
bring
it
to
me.
Then
I
will
eat
it
so
that
I
may
bless
you
before
I
die."
5
Now
Rebekah
had
been
listening
while
Isaac
spoke
to
his
son
Esau.
When
Esau
went
out
to
the
open
fields
to
hunt
down
some
wild
game
and
bring
it
back,
6
Rebekah
said
to
her
son
Jacob,
"Look,
I
overheard
your
father
tell
your
brother
Esau,
7
'Bring
me
some
wild
game
and
prepare
for
me
some
tasty
food.
Then
I
will
eat
it
and
bless
you
in
the
presence
of
the
LORD
before
I
die.'
8
Now
then,
my
son,
do
exactly
what
I
tell
you!
9
Go
to
the
flock
and
get
me
two
of
the
best
young
goats.
I'll
prepare
them
in
a
tasty
way
for
your
father,
just
the
way
he
loves
them.
10
Then
you
will
take
it
to
your
father.
Thus
he
will
eat
it
and
bless
you
before
he
dies."
11
"But
Esau
my
brother
is
a
hairy
man,"
Jacob
protested
to
his
mother
Rebekah,
"and
I
have
smooth
skin!
12
My
father
may
touch
me!
Then
he'll
think
I'm
mocking
him
and
I'll
bring
a
curse
on
myself
instead
of
a
blessing."
13
So
his
mother
told
him,
"Any
curse
against
you
will
fall
on
me,
my
son!
Just
obey
me!
Go
and
get
them
for
me!"
14
So
he
went
and
got
the
goats
and
brought
them
to
his
mother.
She
prepared
some
tasty
food,
just
the
way
his
father
loved
it.
15
Then
Rebekah
took
her
older
son
Esau's
best
clothes,
which
she
had
with
her
in
the
house,
and
put
them
on
her
younger
son
Jacob.
16
She
put
the
skins
of
the
young
goats
on
his
hands
and
the
smooth
part
of
his
neck.
17
Then
she
handed
the
tasty
food
and
the
bread
she
had
made
to
her
son
Jacob.
18
He
went
to
his
father
and
said,
"My
father!"
Isaac
replied,
"Here
I
am.
Which
are
you,
my
son?"
19
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
"I
am
Esau,
your
firstborn.
I've
done
as
you
told
me.
Now
sit
up
and
eat
some
of
my
wild
game
so
that
you
can
bless
me."
20
But
Isaac
asked
his
son,
"How
in
the
world
did
you
find
it
so
quickly,
my
son?"
"Because
the
LORD
your
God
brought
it
to
me,"
he
replied.
21
Then
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Come
closer
so
I
can
touch
you,
my
son,
and
know
for
certain
if
you
really
are
my
son
Esau."
22
So
Jacob
went
over
to
his
father
Isaac,
who
felt
him
and
said,
"The
voice
is
Jacob's,
but
the
hands
are
Esau's."
23
He
did
not
recognize
him
because
his
hands
were
hairy,
like
his
brother
Esau's
hands.
So
Isaac
blessed
Jacob.
24
Then
he
asked,
"Are
you
really
my
son
Esau?"
"I
am,"
Jacob
replied.
25
Isaac
said,
"Bring
some
of
the
wild
game
for
me
to
eat,
my
son.
Then
I
will
bless
you."
So
Jacob
brought
it
to
him,
and
he
ate
it.
He
also
brought
him
wine,
and
Isaac
drank.
26
Then
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Come
here
and
kiss
me,
my
son."
27
So
Jacob
went
over
and
kissed
him.
When
Isaac
caught
the
scent
of
his
clothing,
he
blessed
him,
saying,
"Yes,
my
son
smells
like
the
scent
of
an
open
field
which
the
LORD
has
blessed.
28
May
God
give
you
the
dew
of
the
sky
and
the
richness
of
the
earth,
and
plenty
of
grain
and
new
wine.
29
May
peoples
serve
you
and
nations
bow
down
to
you.
You
will
be
lord
over
your
brothers,
and
the
sons
of
your
mother
will
bow
down
to
you.
May
those
who
curse
you
be
cursed,
and
those
who
bless
you
be
blessed."
30
Isaac
had
just
finished
blessing
Jacob,
and
Jacob
had
scarcely
left
his
father's
presence,
when
his
brother
Esau
returned
from
the
hunt.
31
He
also
prepared
some
tasty
food
and
brought
it
to
his
father.
Esau
said
to
him,
"My
father,
get
up
and
eat
some
of
your
son's
wild
game.
Then
you
can
bless
me."
32
His
father
Isaac
asked,
"Who
are
you?"
"I
am
your
firstborn
son,"
he
replied,
"Esau!"
33
Isaac
began
to
shake
violently
and
asked,
"Then
who
else
hunted
game
and
brought
it
to
me?
I
ate
all
of
it
just
before
you
arrived,
and
I
blessed
him.
He
will
indeed
be
blessed!"
34
When
Esau
heard
his
father's
words,
he
wailed
loudly
and
bitterly.
He
said
to
his
father,
"Bless
me
too,
my
father!"
35
But
Isaac
replied,
"Your
brother
came
in
here
deceitfully
and
took
away
your
blessing."
36
Esau
exclaimed,
"'Jacob'
is
the
right
name
for
him!
He
has
tripped
me
up
two
times!
He
took
away
my
birthright,
and
now,
look,
he
has
taken
away
my
blessing!"
Then
he
asked,
"Have
you
not
kept
back
a
blessing
for
me?"
37
Isaac
replied
to
Esau,
"Look!
I
have
made
him
lord
over
you.
I
have
made
all
his
relatives
his
servants
and
provided
him
with
grain
and
new
wine.
What
is
left
that
I
can
do
for
you,
my
son?"
38
Esau
said
to
his
father,
"Do
you
have
only
that
one
blessing,
my
father?
Bless
me
too!"
Then
Esau
wept
loudly.
39
So
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Indeed,
your
home
will
be
away
from
the
richness
of
the
earth,
and
away
from
the
dew
of
the
sky
above.
40
You
will
live
by
your
sword
but
you
will
serve
your
brother.
When
you
grow
restless,
you
will
tear
off
his
yoke
from
your
neck."
41
So
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
his
father
had
given
to
his
brother.
Esau
said
privately,
"The
time
of
mourning
for
my
father
is
near;
then
I
will
kill
my
brother
Jacob!"
42
When
Rebekah
heard
what
her
older
son
Esau
had
said,
she
quickly
summoned
her
younger
son
Jacob
and
told
him,
"Look,
your
brother
Esau
is
planning
to
get
revenge
by
killing
you.
43
Now
then,
my
son,
do
what
I
say.
Run
away
immediately
to
my
brother
Laban
in
Haran.
44
Live
with
him
for
a
little
while
until
your
brother's
rage
subsides.
45
Stay
there
until
your
brother's
anger
against
you
subsides
and
he
forgets
what
you
did
to
him.
Then
I'll
send
someone
to
bring
you
back
from
there.
Why
should
I
lose
both
of
you
in
one
day?"
46
Then
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"I
am
deeply
depressed
because
of
these
daughters
of
Heth.
If
Jacob
were
to
marry
one

1
Isaac
grew
old,
and
his
eyes
became
so
weak
that
he
could
not
see
clearly.
One
day
he
called
his
older
son
Esau
to
him
and
said,
"Son!"
Esau
answered,
"Here
I
am."
2
Isaac
said,
"I
am
old.
Maybe
I
will
die
soon.
3
So
take
your
bow
and
arrows
and
go
hunting.
Kill
an
animal
for
me
to
eat.
4
Prepare
the
food
that
I
love.
Bring
it
to
me,
and
I
will
eat
it.
Then
I
will
bless
you
before
I
die."
5
So
Esau
went
hunting.
Rebekah
was
listening
when
Isaac
told
this
to
his
son
Esau.
6
Rebekah
said
to
her
son
Jacob,
"Listen,
I
heard
your
father
talking
to
your
brother
Esau.
7
Your
father
said,
'Kill
an
animal
for
me
to
eat.
Prepare
the
food
for
me,
and
I
will
eat
it.
Then
I
will
bless
you
before
I
die.'
8
So
listen,
son,
and
do
what
I
tell
you.
9
Go
out
to
our
goats
and
bring
me
two
young
ones.
I
will
prepare
them
the
way
your
father
loves
them.
10
Then
you
will
carry
the
food
to
your
father,
and
he
will
bless
you
before
he
dies."
11
But
Jacob
told
his
mother
Rebekah,
"My
brother
Esau
is
a
hairy
man.
I
am
not
hairy
like
him.
12
If
my
father
touches
me,
he
will
know
that
I
am
not
Esau.
Then
he
will
not
bless
me—he
will
curse
me
because
I
tried
to
trick
him."
13
So
Rebekah
said
to
him,
"I
will
accept
the
blame
if
there
is
trouble.
Do
what
I
said.
Go
get
the
goats
for
me."
14
So
Jacob
went
out
and
got
two
goats
and
brought
them
to
his
mother.
His
mother
cooked
the
goats
in
the
special
way
that
Isaac
loved.
15
Then
Rebekah
took
the
clothes
that
her
older
son
Esau
loved
to
wear.
She
put
these
clothes
on
the
younger
son
Jacob.
16
She
took
the
skins
of
the
goats
and
put
them
on
Jacob's
hands
and
on
his
neck.
17
Then
she
got
the
food
she
had
cooked
and
gave
it
to
Jacob.
18
Jacob
went
to
his
father
and
said,
"Father."
His
father
answered,
"Yes,
son.
Who
are
you?"
19
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
"I
am
Esau,
your
first
son.
I
have
done
what
you
told
me.
Now
sit
up
and
eat
the
meat
from
the
animals
that
I
hunted
for
you.
Then
you
can
bless
me."
20
But
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
"How
have
you
hunted
and
killed
the
animals
so
quickly?"
Jacob
answered,
"Because
the
Lord
your
God
allowed
me
to
find
the
animals
quickly."
21
Then
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Come
near
to
me
so
that
I
can
feel
you,
my
son.
If
I
can
feel
you,
I
will
know
if
you
are
really
my
son
Esau."
22
So
Jacob
went
to
Isaac
his
father.
Isaac
felt
him
and
said,
"Your
voice
sounds
like
Jacob's
voice,
but
your
arms
are
hairy
like
the
arms
of
Esau."
23
Isaac
did
not
know
it
was
Jacob,
because
his
arms
were
hairy
like
Esau's.
So
Isaac
blessed
Jacob.
24
Isaac
said,
"Are
you
really
my
son
Esau?"
Jacob
answered,
"Yes,
I
am."
25
Then
Isaac
said,
"Bring
me
the
food.
I
will
eat
it
and
bless
you."
So
Jacob
gave
him
the
food,
and
he
ate
it.
Then
Jacob
gave
him
some
wine,
and
he
drank
it.
26
Then
Isaac
said
to
him.
"Son,
come
near
and
kiss
me."
27
So
Jacob
went
to
his
father
and
kissed
him.
When
Isaac
smelled
Esau's
clothes,
he
blessed
him
and
said,
"My
son
smells
like
the
fields
that
the
Lord
has
blessed.
28
May
the
Lord
give
you
plenty
of
rain,
good
crops,
and
wine.
29
May
the
nations
serve
you
and
many
people
bow
down
to
you.
You
will
rule
over
your
brothers.
Your
mother's
sons
will
bow
down
to
you
and
obey
you.
"Whoever
curses
you
will
be
cursed.
Whoever
blesses
you
will
be
blessed."
30
Isaac
finished
blessing
Jacob.
Then,
just
as
Jacob
left
his
father
Isaac,
Esau
came
in
from
hunting.
31
Esau
prepared
the
food
in
the
special
way
his
father
loved.
He
brought
it
to
his
father
and
said,
"Father,
I
am
your
son.
Get
up
and
eat
the
meat
from
the
animals
that
I
killed
for
you.
Then
you
can
bless
me."
32
But
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Who
are
you?"
He
answered,
"I
am
your
son—your
first
son—Esau."
33
Then
Isaac
became
so
upset
that
he
began
to
shake.
He
said,
"Then
who
was
it
that
cooked
and
brought
me
food
before
you
came?
I
ate
it
all,
and
I
blessed
him.
Now
it
is
too
late
to
take
back
my
blessing."
34
When
Esau
heard
his
father's
words,
he
became
very
angry
and
bitter.
He
cried
out
and
said
to
his
father,
"Then
bless
me
also,
father!"
35
Isaac
said,
"Your
brother
tricked
me!
He
came
and
took
your
blessing!"
36
Esau
said,
"His
name
is
Jacob.
That
is
the
right
name
for
him.
He
has
tricked
me
twice.
He
took
away
my
rights
as
the
firstborn
son.
And
now
he
has
taken
away
my
blessing."
Then
Esau
said,
"Have
you
saved
any
blessing
for
me?"
37
Isaac
answered,
"I
have
already
given
Jacob
the
power
to
rule
over
you.
And
I
said
all
his
brothers
would
be
his
servants.
I
have
given
him
the
blessing
for
much
grain
and
wine.
There
is
nothing
left
to
give
you,
my
son."
38
But
Esau
continued
to
beg
his
father.
"Do
you
have
only
one
blessing,
father?
Bless
me
also,
father!"
Esau
began
to
cry.
39
Then
Isaac
said
to
him,
"You
will
not
live
on
good
land.
You
will
not
have
much
rain.
40
You
will
have
to
fight
to
live,
and
you
will
be
a
slave
to
your
brother.
But
when
you
fight
to
be
free,
you
will
break
away
from
his
control."
41
After
that
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
this
blessing.
Esau
said
to
himself,
"My
father
will
soon
die,
and
after
we
are
finished
with
that,
I
will
kill
Jacob."
42
Rebekah
heard
about
Esau's
plan
to
kill
Jacob.
She
sent
for
Jacob
and
said
to
him,
"Listen,
your
brother
Esau
is
planning
to
kill
you.
43
So,
son,
do
what
I
say.
My
brother
Laban
is
living
in
Haran.
Go
to
him
and
hide.
44
Stay
with
him
for
a
short
time
until
your
brother
stops
being
angry.
45
When
your
brother
forgets
what
you
did
to
him,
I
will
send
a
servant
to
bring
you
back.
I
don't
want
to
lose
both
of
my
sons
on
the
same
day."
46
Then
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"Your
son
Esau
married
Hittite
women.
I
am
very
upset
about
this,
because
they
are
not
our
people.
I'll
have
nothing
to
live
for
if
Jacob
marries
one
of
these
women!"
Hebrews 11:20

Isaac
blessed
the
future
of
Jacob
and
Esau.
He
did
that
because
he
had
faith.

Esau
my

I
a

Peradventure
my

may
feel
me,

before
him
as
one
ill-intentioned,
and
I
shall

his

to
him,
On
me
be
thy

son;
only
hearken
to
my

and
go
and

So
he
went
and
took
and
brought
them

and
his
mother
made
meats,
as
his

liked
them.

Rebecca
having

the

eat
of
my

that
thy

20
And
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
What
is
this
which
thou
hast
quickly
found?
And
he
said,
That
which

21
And
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
Draw
night
to
me,
and
I
will
feel

son,
if

Esau
or

22
And
Jacob
drew
night
to
his

Isaac,
and
he
felt
him,
and
said,
The

is
Jacob’s
voice,
but

Esau.
23
And
he
knew
him
not,
for
his
hands
were
as
the

his
brother
Esau,
hairy;
and
he
blessed
him,
24
and
he
said,
Art

my

Esau?
and
he
said,
I
am.
25
And
he
said,
Bring
hither,
and
I
will
eat
of
thy
venison,
son,
that
my
soul
may
bless
thee;
and
he
brought
it
near
to
him,
and
he
ate,
and
he
brought
him
wine,
and
he
drank.
26
And
Isaac
his
father
said
to
him,
Draw
nigh
to
me,
and
kiss
me,
son.
27
And
he
drew
nigh
and
kissed
him,
and
smelled
the
smell
of
his
garments,
and
blessed
him,
and
said,
Behold,
the
smell
of
my
son
is
as
the
smell
of
an
abundant
field,
which
the
Lord
has
blessed.
28
And
may
God
give
thee
of
the
dew
of
heaven,
and
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
abundance
of
corn
and
wine.
29
And
let
nations
serve
thee,
and
princes
bow
down
to
thee,
and
be
thou
lord
of
thy
brother,
and
the
sons
of
thy
father
shall
do
thee
reverence;
accursed
is
he
that
curses
thee,
and
blessed
is
he
that
blesses
thee.
30
And
it
came
to
pass
after
Isaac
had
ceased
blessing
his
son
Jacob,
it
even
came
to
pass,
just
when
Jacob
had
gone
out
from
the
presence
of
Isaac
his
father,
that
Esau
his
brother
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
And
he
also
had
made
meats
and
brought
them
to
his
father;
and
he
said
to
his
father,
Let
my
father
arise
and
eat
of
his
son’s
venison,
that
thy
soul
may
bless
me.
32
And
Isaac
his
father
said
to
him,
Who
art
thou?
And
he
said,
I
am
thy
first-born
son
Esau.
33
And
Isaac
was
amazed
with
very
great
amazement,
and
said,
Who
then
is
it
that
has
procured
venison
for
me
and
brought
it
to
me?
and
I
have
eaten
of
all
before
thou
camest,
and
I
have
blessed
him,
and
he
shall
be
blessed.
34
And
it
came
to
pass
when
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father
Isaac,
he
cried
out
with
a
great
and
very
bitter
cry,
and
said,
Bless,
I
pray
thee,
me
also,
father.
35
And
he
said
to
him,
Thy
brother
has
come
with
subtlety,
and
taken
thy
blessing.
36
And
he
said,
Rightly
was
his
name
called
Jacob,
for
lo!
this
second
time
has
he
supplanted
me;
he
has
both
taken
my
birthright,
and
now
he
has
taken
my
blessing;
and
Esau
said
to
his
father,
Hast
thou
not
left
a
blessing
for
me,
father?
37
And
Isaac
answered
and
said
to
Esau,
If
I
have
made
him
thy
lord,
and
have
made
all
his
brethren
his
servants,
and
have
strengthened
him
with
corn
and
wine,
what
then
shall
I
do
for
thee,
son?
38
And
Esau
said
to
his
father,
Hast
thou
only
one
blessing,
father?
Bless,
I
pray
thee,
me
also,
father.

to
Laban
my
brother
into
Charran.
44
And
dwell
with
him
certain
days,
until
thy
brother’s
anger
45
and
rage
depart
from
thee,
and
he
forget
what
thou
hast
done
to
him;
and
I
will
send
and
fetch
thee
thence,
lest
at
any
time
I
should
be
bereaved
of
you
both
in
one
day.
46
And
Rebecca
said
to
Isaac,
I
am
weary
of
my
life,
because
of
the
daughters
of
the
sons
of
Chet;
if
Jacob
shall
take
a
wife
of
the
daughters
of
this
land,
wherefore
should
I
live?

1
Isaac
was
now
old,
and
had
become
blind.
He
called
to
his
older
son
Esau,
saying,
"My
son."
And
Esau
answered,
"Here
I
am."
2
Isaac
said,
"See,
I
am
old.
I
do
not
know
when
I
will
die.
3
Take
your
bow
and
arrows,
and
go
out
to
the
field
to
get
meat
for
me.
4
Get
some
food
ready
for
me
that
I
love.
Bring
it
to
me
to
eat,
so
that
before
I
die
I
will
pray
that
good
will
come
to
you."
5
And
Rebekah
was
listening
while
Isaac
spoke
to
his
son
Esau.
So
when
Esau
went
to
the
field
to
hunt
for
meat
to
bring
home,
6
Rebekah
said
to
her
son
Jacob,
"I
heard
your
father
talking
to
your
brother
Esau.
He
said,
7
'Bring
me
some
meat.
Make
goodtasting
food
for
me
to
eat.
And
before
I
die
I
will
pray
to
the
Lord
for
good
to
come
to
you.'
8
So
now,
my
son,
listen
to
what
I
tell
you
to
do.
9
Go
to
the
flock
and
bring
me
two
fat
young
goats.
I
will
cook
them
into
good-tasting
food,
just
what
your
father
loves
to
eat.
10
Then
you
will
take
it
to
your
father
for
him
to
eat.
So
before
he
dies
he
will
pray
for
good
to
come
to
you."
11
Jacob
said
to
his
mother
Rebekah,
"But
my
brother
Esau
has
much
hair.
And
my
skin
is
smooth.
12
If
my
father
touches
me,
he
will
think
of
me
as
one
trying
to
fool
him.
Then
he
will
bring
a
curse
upon
me
instead
of
good."
13
His
mother
said
to
him,
"The
curse
will
come
upon
me
instead
of
you,
my
son.
You
do
what
I
say,
and
go
get
them
for
me."
14
So
Jacob
went
and
got
them,
and
brought
them
to
his
mother.
And
his
mother
made
good-tasting
food,
just
what
his
father
loved
to
eat.
15
Then
Rebekah
took
the
best
clothes
that
belonged
to
her
older
son
Esau,
that
were
with
her
in
the
house.
And
she
put
them
on
her
younger
son
Jacob.
16
She
put
the
skins
of
the
young
goats
on
his
hands
and
on
the
smooth
part
of
his
neck.
17
And
she
gave
her
son
Jacob
the
bread
and
the
good-tasting
food
she
had
made.
18
Then
he
went
to
his
father
and
said,
"My
father."
Isaac
said,
"Here
I
am.
Who
are
you,
my
son?"
19
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
"I
am
Esau,
your
first-born.
I
have
done
as
you
told
me.
Sit
up
and
eat
the
meat
I
brought,
so
you
will
pray
that
good
will
come
to
me."
20
But
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
"How
have
you
found
it
so
fast,
my
son?"
And
Jacob
said,
"Because
the
Lord
your
God
made
it
happen."
21
Then
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Come
near
so
I
can
touch
you,
my
son,
to
know
for
sure
if
you
are
my
son
Esau
or
not."
22
So
Jacob
came
near
his
father
Isaac.
Isaac
touched
him,
and
said,
"The
voice
is
Jacob's
voice.
But
the
hands
are
Esau's
hands."
23
He
did
not
know
who
he
was,
because
his
hands
were
covered
with
hair
like
his
brother
Esau's
hands.
So
Isaac
prayed
that
good
would
come
to
him.
24
Isaac
said,
"Is
it
true
that
you
are
my
son
Esau?"
Jacob
answered,
"I
am."
25
So
Isaac
said,
"Bring
it
to
me
so
I
may
eat
the
meat
my
son
has
made
ready.
And
I
will
pray
that
good
will
come
to
you."
He
brought
it
to
him,
and
he
ate.
He
brought
him
wine
also,
and
he
drank.
26
Then
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Come
near
and
kiss
me,
my
son."
27
So
Jacob
came
near
and
kissed
him.
When
Isaac
smelled
his
clothes,
he
prayed
that
good
would
come
to
him.
He
said,
"The
smell
of
my
son
is
like
the
smell
of
a
field
that
has
received
good
from
the
Lord.
28
May
God
give
you
from
heaven
water
on
the
grass
in
the
early
morning,
and
the
riches
of
the
earth,
and
more
than
enough
grain
and
new
wine.
29
May
nations
serve
you,
and
the
people
bow
down
in
front
of
you.
Be
the
ruler
of
your
brothers.
May
your
mother's
sons
bow
down
in
front
of
you.
Cursed
be
those
who
curse
you,
and
may
good
come
to
those
who
honor
you."
30
When
Isaac
had
finished
praying
that
good
would
come
to
Jacob,
Jacob
left
his
father
Isaac.
Just
then
his
brother
Esau
came
in
from
hunting.
31
Then
Esau
made
good-tasting
food
and
brought
it
to
his
father,
and
said,
"Sit
up,
my
father,
and
eat
the
meat
your
son
has
made
ready,
so
you
will
pray
that
good
will
come
to
me."
32
His
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Who
are
you?"
He
answered,
"I
am
your
son,
your
first-born,
Esau."
33
Then
Isaac
shook
all
over,
and
he
said,
"Who
was
it
then
who
killed
an
animal
and
brought
meat
to
me?
I
ate
all
of
it
before
you
came!
And
I
prayed
that
good
would
come
to
him!
Yes,
and
good
will
come
to
him!"
34
When
he
heard
what
his
father
said,
Esau
cried
out
with
a
loud
and
sad
cry.
He
said
to
his
father,
"Pray
that
good
will
come
to
me
also,
O
my
father!"
35
But
Isaac
said,
"Your
brother
came
in
and
fooled
me.
He
has
taken
away
the
good
that
was
to
come
to
you."
36
Then
Esau
said,
"Was
it
not
right
that
he
was
given
the
name
Jacob?
Two
times
now
he
has
taken
what
should
have
been
mine.
He
took
away
my
right
as
a
first-born.
And
now
he
has
taken
away
the
good
that
was
to
come
to
me."
Then
he
said,
"Can
you
not
pray
that
good
will
come
to
me
also?"
37
Isaac
answered
Esau,
"See,
I
have
made
him
to
rule
over
you.
I
have
given
him
all
his
brothers
as
servants.
I
have
given
him
grain
and
new
wine
to
keep
him
alive
and
well.
What
then
can
I
do
for
you,
my
son?"
38
Esau
said
to
his
father,
"Do
you
have
only
one
prayer
for
good
to
come,
my
father?
Pray
that
good
will
come
to
me
also,
O
my
father."
And
Esau
gave
out
a
loud
cry.
39
Then
his
father
Isaac
answered
him:
"See,
the
place
where
you
live
will
be
away
from
the
riches
of
the
earth,
and
away
from
the
water
on
the
grass
in
the
early
morning.
40
You
will
live
by
your
sword
and
you
will
serve
your
brother.
But
when
you
break
loose,
you
will
throw
his
load
off
your
back."
41
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
his
father
had
prayed
that
good
would
come
to
Jacob.
Esau
said
to
himself,
"The
days
when
I
will
have
sorrow
for
the
loss
of
my
father
are
soon.
Then
I
will
kill
my
brother
Jacob."
42
But
the
words
of
her
older
son
Esau
were
told
to
Rebekah.
She
called
her
younger
son
Jacob,
and
said
to
him,
"See,
your
brother
Esau
comforts
himself
by
planning
to
kill
you.
43
So
now,
my
son,
do
what
I
tell
you.
Get
ready,
and
go
at
once
to
my
brother
Laban
at
Haran.
44
Stay
with
him
for
a
few
days,
until
your
brother's
anger
goes
away.
45
When
your
brother's
anger
against
you
is
gone
and
he
forgets
what
you
did
to
him,
then
I
will
send
for
you
and
have
you
return
from
there.
Why
should
I
have
sorrow
for
both
of
you
in
one
day?"
46
Then
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"I
am
tired
of
living
because
of
the
daughters
of
Heth.
If
Jacob
marries
one
of
the
daughters
of
Heth,
like
these,
from
the
women
of
the
land,
what
good
will
my
life
be
to
me?"
Hebrews 11:20
20
Because
Isaac
had
faith,
he
said
that
good
would
come
to
Jacob
and
Esau
in
the
future.

1
When
Isaac
was
old,
his
eyesight
was
poor,
so
he
could
not
see
clearly.
One
day
he
called
his
older
son
Esau
to
him
and
said,
"Son."
Esau
answered,
"Here
I
am."
2
Isaac
said,
"I
am
old
and
don't
know
when
I
might
die.
3
So
take
your
bow
and
arrows
and
go
hunting
in
the
field
for
an
animal
for
me
to
eat.
4
When
you
prepare
the
tasty
food
that
I
love,
bring
it
to
me,
and
I
will
eat.
Then
I
will
bless
you
before
I
die."
5
So
Esau
went
out
in
the
field
to
hunt.
Rebekah
was
listening
as
Isaac
said
this
to
his
son
Esau.
6
She
said
to
her
son
Jacob,
"Listen,
I
heard
your
father
saying
to
your
brother
Esau,
7
'Kill
an
animal
and
prepare
some
tasty
food
for
me
to
eat.
Then
I
will
bless
you
in
the
presence
of
the
Lord
before
I
die.'
8
So
obey
me,
my
son,
and
do
what
I
tell
you.
9
Go
out
to
our
goats
and
bring
me
two
of
the
best
young
ones.
I
will
prepare
them
just
the
way
your
father
likes
them.
10
Then
you
will
take
the
food
to
your
father,
and
he
will
bless
you
before
he
dies."
11
But
Jacob
said
to
his
mother
Rebekah,
"My
brother
Esau
is
a
hairy
man,
and
I
am
smooth!
12
If
my
father
touches
me,
he
will
know
I
am
not
Esau.
Then
he
will
not
bless
me
but
will
place
a
curse
on
me
because
I
tried
to
trick
him."
13
So
Rebekah
said
to
him,
"If
your
father
puts
a
curse
on
you,
I
will
accept
the
blame.
Just
do
what
I
said
and
go,
get
the
goats
for
me."
14
So
Jacob
went
out
and
got
two
goats
and
brought
them
to
his
mother,
and
she
cooked
them
in
the
special
way
Isaac
enjoyed.
15
She
took
the
best
clothes
of
her
older
son
Esau
that
were
in
the
house
and
put
them
on
the
younger
son
Jacob.
16
She
also
took
the
skins
of
the
goats
and
put
them
on
Jacob's
hands
and
neck.
17
Then
she
gave
Jacob
the
tasty
food
and
the
bread
she
had
made.
18
Jacob
went
in
to
his
father
and
said,
"Father."
And
his
father
said,
"Yes,
my
son.
Who
are
you?"
19
Jacob
said
to
him,
"I
am
Esau,
your
first
son.
I
have
done
what
you
told
me.
Now
sit
up
and
eat
some
meat
of
the
animal
I
hunted
for
you.
Then
bless
me."
20
But
Isaac
asked
his
son,
"How
did
you
find
and
kill
the
animal
so
quickly?"
Jacob
answered,
"Because
the
Lord
your
God
helped
me
to
find
it."
21
Then
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Come
near
so
I
can
touch
you,
my
son.
Then
I
will
know
if
you
are
really
my
son
Esau."
22
So
Jacob
came
near
to
Isaac
his
father.
Isaac
touched
him
and
said,
"Your
voice
sounds
like
Jacob's
voice,
but
your
hands
are
hairy
like
the
hands
of
Esau."
23
Isaac
did
not
know
it
was
Jacob,
because
his
hands
were
hairy
like
Esau's
hands,
so
Isaac
blessed
him.
24
Isaac
asked,
"Are
you
really
my
son
Esau?"
Jacob
answered,
"Yes,
I
am."
25
Then
Isaac
said,
"Bring
me
the
food,
and
I
will
eat
it
and
bless
you."
So
Jacob
gave
him
the
food,
and
he
ate.
Jacob
gave
him
wine,
and
he
drank.
26
Then
Isaac
said
to
him,
"My
son,
come
near
and
kiss
me."
27
So
Jacob
went
to
his
father
and
kissed
him.
When
Isaac
smelled
Esau's
clothes,
he
blessed
him
and
said,
"The
smell
of
my
son
is
like
the
smell
of
the
field
that
the
Lord
has
blessed.
28
May
God
give
you
plenty
of
rain
and
good
soil
so
that
you
will
have
plenty
of
grain
and
new
wine.
29
May
nations
serve
you
and
peoples
bow
down
to
you.
May
you
be
master
over
your
brothers,
and
may
your
mother's
sons
bow
down
to
you.
May
everyone
who
curses
you
be
cursed,
and
may
everyone
who
blesses
you
be
blessed."
30
Isaac
finished
blessing
Jacob.
Then,
just
as
Jacob
left
his
father
Isaac,
Esau
came
in
from
hunting.
31
He
also
prepared
some
tasty
food
and
brought
it
to
his
father.
He
said,
"Father,
rise
and
eat
the
food
that
your
son
killed
for
you
and
then
bless
me."
32
Isaac
asked,
"Who
are
you?"
He
answered,
"I
am
your
son
--
your
firstborn
son
--
Esau."
33
Then
Isaac
trembled
greatly
and
said,
"Then
who
was
it
that
hunted
the
animals
and
brought
me
food
before
you
came?
I
ate
it,
and
I
blessed
him,
and
it
is
too
late
now
to
take
back
my
blessing."
34
When
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father,
he
let
out
a
loud
and
bitter
cry.
He
said
to
his
father,
"Bless
me
--
me,
too,
my
father!"
35
But
Isaac
said,
"Your
brother
came
and
tricked
me.
He
has
taken
your
blessing."
36
Esau
said,
"Jacobn
is
the
right
name
for
him.
He
has
tricked
me
these
two
times.
He
took
away
my
share
of
everything
you
own,
and
now
he
has
taken
away
my
blessing."
Then
Esau
asked,
"Haven't
you
saved
a
blessing
for
me?"
37
Isaac
answered,
"I
gave
Jacob
the
power
to
be
master
over
you,
and
all
his
brothers
will
be
his
servants.
And
I
kept
him
strong
with
grain
and
new
wine.
There
is
nothing
left
to
give
you,
my
son."
38
But
Esau
continued,
"Do
you
have
only
one
blessing,
Father?
Bless
me,
too,
Father!"
Then
Esau
began
to
cry
out
loud.
39
Isaac
said
to
him,
"You
will
live
far
away
from
the
best
land,
far
from
the
rain.
40
You
will
live
by
using
your
sword,
and
you
will
be
a
slave
to
your
brother.
But
when
you
struggle,
you
will
break
free
from
him."
41
After
that
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
from
Isaac.
He
thought
to
himself,
"My
father
will
soon
die,
and
I
will
be
sad
for
him.
Then
I
will
kill
Jacob."
42
Rebekah
heard
about
Esau's
plan
to
kill
Jacob.
So
she
sent
for
Jacob
and
said
to
him,
"Listen,
your
brother
Esau
is
comforting
himself
by
planning
to
kill
you.
43
So,
my
son,
do
what
I
say.
My
brother
Laban
is
living
in
Haran.
Go
to
him
at
once!
44
Stay
with
him
for
a
while,
until
your
brother
is
not
so
angry.
45
In
time,
your
brother
will
not
be
angry,
and
he
will
forget
what
you
did
to
him.
Then
I
will
send
a
servant
to
bring
you
back.
I
don't
want
to
lose
both
of
my
sons
on
the
same
day."
46
Then
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"I
am
tired
of
Hittite
women.
If
Jacob
marries
one
of
these
Hittite
women
here
in
this
land,
I
want
to
die."

And
it

when
Isaac

and
his

were
dim

he
called
his

Esau
and

My

he

Behold

And
he

Behold!
Now,
I

I

of
my

3
And
now
please
lift
up
your

your

and
your

and
go
to
the
field
and
hunt
game
for
me.
4
And
make

so
that
my

5
And
Rebekah
heard
when
Isaac
spoke
to
his
son
Esau.
And
Esau
went
to
the
field
to
hunt
game,
to
bring
it
in.
6
And
Rebekah
spoke
to
her
son
Jacob,
saying,
Behold,
I
heard
your
father
speaking
to
your
brother
Esau
saying,
7
Bring
game
to
me
and
make
delicious
things
that
I

that
I

you
before
Jehovah

my

8
And
now
my
son
hear
my
voice,
that
which
I
command
you.
9
Go
now
to
the
flock
and
bring
me
from
there
two
good
kids
of
the
goats.
And
I
will
make
them
into
delicious
things
for
your

which
he

10
and
you
shall
bring
it
to
your
father
and
let
him
eat,
so
that
he
may
bless
you
before
his
death.
11
And
Jacob
said
to
his
mother
Rebekah,
Behold,
my
brother
Esau
is
a
hairy
man,
and
I
a
smooth
man.
12
Perhaps
my
father
will
feel
me,
and
I
shall
be
like
a
deceiver
in
his
eyes,
and
I
shall
bring
a
curse
on
me,
and
not
blessing.
13
And
his
mother
said
to
him,
Your
curse
be
on
me,
my
son;
only
listen
to
my
voice
and
go,
take
for
me.
14
And
he
went
and
took
and
came
to
his
mother.
And
his
mother
made
delicious
things,
such
as
his
father
loved.
15
And
Rebekah
took
the
clothing
of
her
elder
son
Esau,
the
costly
ones
which
were
with
her
in
the
house.
And
she
dressed
her
younger
son
Jacob;
16
and
she
put
the
skins
of
the
kids
of
the
goats
on
his
hands,
and
on
the
smoothness

his

17
And
she
put

which
she

the
hand

her
son
Jacob.
18
And
he
went
in
to
his
father
and
said,
My
father.
And
he
said,
Behold
me.
Who
are
you,
my
son?
19
And
Jacob
said
to
his
father,
I
am
your
first-born,
Esau.
I
have
done
as
you
said
to
me.
Rise
up
now,
sit
and
eat
of
my
game,
so
that
your
soul
may
bless
me.
20
And
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
How
then
have
you
quickly
found
it,
my
son?
And
he
said,
Because
Jehovah
your
God
made
it
come
to
me.
21
And
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
Come
near
now
and
let
me
feel
you,
whether
then
you
are
my
son
Esau,
or
not.
22
And
Jacob
came
near
to
his
father
Isaac.
And
he
felt
him,
and
he
said,
The
voice
is
the
voice
of
Jacob
and
the
hands
are
Esau's
hands.
23
And
he
did
not
know
him,
because
his
hands
were
like
the
hairy
hands
of
his
brother
Esau.
And
he
blessed
him.
24
And
he
said,
Are
you
then
my
son
Esau?
And
he
said,
I
am.
25
And
he
said,
Bring
to
me
and
let
me
eat
of
my
son's
game,
so
that
my
soul
may
bless
you.
And
he
came
near
to
him;
and
he
took
and
he
ate.
And
he
came
to
him,
and
he
drank
wine.
26
And
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
Now
come
and
kiss
me,
my
son.
27
And
he
came
near
and
kissed
him.
And
he
smelled
the
smell
of
his
clothes.
And
he
blessed
him,
and
said,
See,
the
smell
of
my
son
is
as
the
smell
of
a
field
which
Jehovah
has
blessed.
28
And
may
God
give
you
of
the
dew
of
the
heavens,
and
of
the
fatness
of
the
earth,
and
much
grain
and
wine.
29
May
the
nations
serve
you
and
peoples
bow
to
you;
be
a
ruler
to
your
brothers,
and
may
your
mother's
sons
bow
to
you,
and
cursed
be
those
who
curse
you,
and
blessed
be
those
who
bless
you.
30
And
it
happened
that
when
Isaac
had
made
an
end
of
blessing
Jacob,
then
it
came
about
that
Jacob
had
hardly
gone
out
from
the
face
of
his
father
Isaac,
and
his
brother
Esau
came
in
from
his
hunting.
31
And
he
also
made
delicious
things
and
came
to
his
father.
And
he
said
to
his
father,
Let
my
father
rise
and
eat
from
the
game
of
his
son,
so
that
your
soul
may
bless
me.
32
And
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
Who
are
you?
And
he
said,
I
am
your
son,
your
first-born,
Esau.
33
And
Isaac
was
terrified
with
a
very
great
anxiety.
And
he
said,
Who
then
was
the
one
who
hunted
game
and
came
to
me;
and
I
ate
from
it
all
before
you
came;
and
I
blessed
him?
Yea,
he
shall
be
blessed.
34
When
Esau
heard
the
words
of
his
father
he
cried
out
a
great
and
very
bitter
cry.
And
he
said
to
his
father,
Bless
me,
me
also,
my
father.
35
And
he
said,
Your
brother
came
with
deceit
and
took
your
blessing.
36
And
he
said,
It
is
because
his
name
is
called
Jacob,
and
this
twice
he
took
me
by
the
heel;
he
took
my
birthright
and,
behold,
now
he
has
taken
my
blessing.
And
he
said,
Have
you
not
reserved
a
blessing
for
me?
37
And
Isaac
answered
and
said
to
Esau,
Behold,
I
have
set
him
over
you
as
a
ruler,
and
I
have
given
him
all
his
brothers
for
servants;
I
have
girded
him
with
grain
and
wine.
And
what
then
can
I
do
for
you,
my
son?
38
And
Esau
said
to
his
father,
Is
one
blessing
left
to
you,
my
father?
Bless
me,
me
also,
my
father.
And
Esau
lifted
up
his
voice
and
wept.
39
And
his
father
Isaac
answered
and
said
to
him,
Behold,
your
dwelling
shall
be
from
the
fat
of
the
earth
and
from
the
dew
of
the
heavens
above;
40
and
you
shall
live
by
your
sword,
and
you
shall
serve
your
brother;
and
when
it
shall
be
that
you
are
restless,
you
shall
break
his
yoke
from
your
neck.
41
And
Esau
hated
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
with
which
his
father
had
blessed
him.
And
Esau
said
in
his
heart,
The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
near;
then
I
will
kill
my
brother
Jacob.
42
And
the
words
of
her
older
son
Esau
were
told
to
Rebekah.
And
she
sent
and
called
her
younger
son
Jacob.
And
she
said
to
him,
Behold!
Your
brother
Esau
is
going
to
ease
himself
on
you,
to
kill
you.
43
And
now,
my
son,
listen
to
my
voice,
and
rise,
flee
for
yourself
to
my
brother
Laban,
to
Haran.
44
And
stay
with
him
some
days
until
your
brother's
fury
turns
away,
45
until
your
brother's
anger
turns
back
from
you,
and
he
forgets
what
you
have
done
to
him.
And
I
will
send
and
take
you
from
there.
Why
should
I
also
be
bereaved
of
two
of
you
in
one
day?
46
And
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
I
am
weary
of
my
life
from
the
daughters
of
Heth.
If
Jacob
takes
a
wife
from
the
daughters
of
Heth,
like
these
from
the
daughters
of
the
land,
what
is
my
life
to
me?

5
Now
Rebekah
was
listening
to
what
Isaac
said
to
his
son
Esau.
So
while
Esau
went
to
the
field
to
hunt
some
game
to
bring
in,
6
Rebekah
said
to
her
son
Jacob,
"Listen!
I
heard
your
father
talking
with
your
brother
Esau.
He
said,
7
'Bring
me
some

8
Now
obey
every
order
I
give
you,
my

9
Go
to
the
flock
and
bring
me
two
choice
young
goats,
and
I
will
make

into
a
delicious
meal
for
your

the

loves.
10
Then
take
it
to
your
father
to
eat
so
that
he
may
bless
you
before
he
dies."
11
Jacob
answered
Rebekah
his
mother,
"Look,
my
brother
Esau
is
a
hairy
man,
but
I
am
a
man
with
smooth
skin.
12
Suppose
my
father
touches
me.
Then
I
will
seem
to
be
deceiving
him,
and
I
will
bring
a
curse
rather
than
a
blessing
on
myself."
13
His
mother
said
to
him,
"Your
curse
be
on
me,
my
son.
Just
obey
me
and
go
get
them
for
me."
14
So
he
went
and
got
them
and
brought
them
to
his
mother,
and
his
mother
made
the
delicious
food
his
father
loved.
15
Then
Rebekah
took
the
best
clothes
of
her
older
son
Esau,
which
were
there
at
the
house,
and
had
her
younger
son
Jacob
wear
them.
16
She
put
the
goatskins
on
his
hands
and
the
smooth
part
of
his
neck.
17
Then
she
handed
the
delicious
food
and
the
bread
she
had
made
to
her
son
Jacob.
18
When
he
came
to
his
father,
he
said,
"My
father."
And
he
answered,
"Here
I
am.
Who
are
you,
my
son?"
19
Jacob
replied
to
his
father,
"I
am
Esau,
your
firstborn.
I
have
done
as
you
told
me.
Please
sit
up
and
eat
some
of
my
game
so
that
you
may
bless
me."
20
But
Isaac
said
to
his
son,
"How
did
you
ever
find
it
so
quickly,
my
son?"
He
replied,
"Because
the
LORD
your
God
worked
it
out
for
me."
21
Then
Isaac
said
to
Jacob,
"Please
come
closer
so
I
can
touch
you,
my
son.
Are
you
really
my
son
Esau,
or
not?"
22
So
Jacob
came
closer
to
his
father
Isaac.
When
he
touched
him,
he
said,
"The
voice
is
the
voice
of
Jacob,
but
the
hands
are
the
hands
of
Esau."
23
He
did
not
recognize
him,
because
his
hands
were
hairy
like
those
of
his
brother
Esau;
so
he
blessed
him.
24
Again
he
asked,
"Are
you
really
my
son
Esau?"
And
he
replied,
"I
am."
25
Then
he
said,
"Serve
me,
and
let
me
eat
some
of
my
son's
game
so
that
I
can
bless
you."
Jacob
brought
it
to
him,
and
he
ate;
he
brought
him
wine,
and
he
drank.
26
Then
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Please
come
closer
and
kiss
me,
my
son."
27
So
he
came
closer
and
kissed
him.
When
Isaac
smelled
his
clothes,
he
blessed
him
and
said:
Ah,
the
smell
of
my
son
is
like
the
smell
of
a
field
that
the
LORD
has
blessed.
28
May
God
give
to
you--
from
the
dew
of
the
sky
and
from
the
richness
of
the
land--
an
abundance
of
grain
and
new
wine.
29
May
peoples
serve
you
and
nations
bow
down
to
you.
Be
master
over
your
brothers;
may
your
mother's
sons
bow
down
to
you.
Those
who
curse
you
will
be
cursed,
and
those
who
bless
you
will
be
blessed.
30
As
soon
as
Isaac
had
finished
blessing
Jacob
and
Jacob
had
left
the
presence
of
his
father
Isaac,
his
brother
Esau
arrived
from
the
hunt.
31
He
had
also
made
some
delicious
food
and
brought
it
to
his
father.
Then
he
said
to
his
father,
"Let
my
father
get
up
and
eat
some
of
his
son's
game,
so
that
you
may
bless
me."
32
But
his
father
Isaac
said
to
him,
"Who
are
you?"
He
answered,
"I
am
Esau
your
firstborn
son."
33
Isaac
began
to
tremble
uncontrollably.
"Who
was
it
then,"
he
said,
"who
hunted
game
and
brought
it
to
me?
I
ate
it
all
before
you
came
in,
and
I
blessed
him.
Indeed,
he
will
be
blessed!"
34
When
Esau
heard
his
father's
words,
he
cried
out
with
a
loud
and
bitter
cry
and
said
to
his
father,
"Bless
me--
me
too,
my
father!"
35
But
he
replied,
"Your
brother
came
deceitfully
and
took
your
blessing."
36
So
he
said,
"Isn't
he
rightly
named
Jacob?
For
he
has
cheated
me
twice
now.
He
took
my
birthright,
and
look,
now
he
has
taken
my
blessing."
Then
he
asked,
"Haven't
you
saved
a
blessing
for
me?"
37
But
Isaac
answered
Esau:
"Look,
I
have
made
him
a
master
over
you,
have
given
him
all
of
his
relatives
as
his
servants,
and
have
sustained
him
with
grain
and
new
wine.
What
then
can
I
do
for
you,
my
son?"
38
Esau
said
to
his
father,
"Do
you
only
have
one
blessing,
my
father?
Bless
me--
me
too,
my
father!"
And
Esau
wept
loudly.
39
Then
his
father
Isaac
answered
him:
Look,
your
dwelling
place
will
be
away
from
the
richness
of
the
land,
away
from
the
dew
of
the
sky
above.
40
You
will
live
by
your
sword,
and
you
will
serve
your
brother.
But
when
you
rebel,
you
will
break
his
yoke
from
your
neck.
41
Esau
held
a
grudge
against
Jacob
because
of
the
blessing
his
father
had
given
him.
And
Esau
determined
in
his
heart:
"The
days
of
mourning
for
my
father
are
approaching;
then
I
will
kill
my
brother
Jacob."
42
When
the
words
of
her
older
son
Esau
were
reported
to
Rebekah,
she
summoned
her
younger
son
Jacob
and
said
to
him,
"Listen,
your
brother
Esau
is
consoling
himself
by
planning
to
kill
you.
43
So
now,
my
son,
listen
to
me.
Flee
at
once
to
my
brother
Laban
in
Haran,
44
and
stay
with
him
for
a
few
days
until
your
brother's
anger
subsides--
45
until
your
brother's
rage
turns
away
from
you
and
he
forgets
what
you
have
done
to
him.
Then
I
will
send
for
you
and
bring
you
back
from
there.
Why
should
I
lose
you
both
in
one
day?"
46
So
Rebekah
said
to
Isaac,
"I'm
sick
of
my
life
because
of
these
Hittite
women.
If
Jacob
marries
a
Hittite
woman
like
one
of
them,
what
good
is
my
life?"
Hebrews 11:20
20
By
faith
Isaac
blessed
Jacob
and
Esau
concerning
things
to
come.
